^*Ferres is a recent find for me. In my conversations with him so far, he seems like a very nice person and he is also very open to discussing his work. I admit to having some reservations about his subjects. His amazing airbrush coloring style is what drew me in. He's got a great consistency in the quality of his images and his pictures are uniformly beautiful renders. I've been trying to look a little deeper. To find a personal meaning for some of these stories and pictures that he says just come to life, as if on their own, through him. I've been successful in a few instances and am willing to go further to look for more. I would very much look at his art as just a guilty pleasure if the only thing that interested me was learning from his technique. People are complex. Art is complex. It is ability, certainly. But it is also perception. And the art of perception can be hard to master. I think Ferres would appreciate you stopping by and letting him know the interpretations you have of his characters and stories, and probably wouldn't mind some intelligent feedback on his artwork as well.

I'll warn you up front that many of these images involve BDSM and other mature themes. If you aren't bothered by that, and can keep an open mind, I definitely think his gallery is worth checking out. If only for the guilty pleasure of ogling truly gorgeous comic art. ;]
